Picked up new Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R 205/50/R15 tires from Costco for $139.99 Each mounted and balanced plus tax totalling $711.16
They look great and should be much better than the 14 year old tires I was using….still need new lightweight rims though.

Installed Hawk HP+ pads on front, and 45 miles later installed them on the rear too.
Extremely grippy.
Hope these last longer on the track.

Picked up some speed bleeder brake bleed valves off Kijiji for $15. I plan to install this weekend .
Turns out one set was too small and I needed to order another set off Amazon

June 4, 2019. 146200 miles. Changed the pads and rotors in hopes it improves the pedal feel. I think the old pads “might” have been race pads??? I’ll see how long the new ones last. Update… turns out they didn’t last too long, ended up replacing them with Hawk HP Plus pads a few weeks later.
Went with Raybestos Ceramic PGD458C in the rear
And Raybestos OE Matched PGD525M in the front. Semi metallic I think.

Decided to hang the hardtop on the wall so it’s out of the way.
Took 2 screw in garage wall hooks (I think these are used for hanging bicycles), cut off the ends with a dremel, screwed them into the wall, then hung the roof by the chrome latches. There is debate on the internet whether this is bad for the roof or not. Time will tell.
Installed a $11.99 stubby antenna from amazon
Picked up the 1.5 ton Pittsburgh aluminum floor jack I ordered from amazon. It’s much smaller and lighter than my current jack so it’s more portable so I’ll be able to take it to the track. Should do the trick.

Installed a gearshift knob from amazon that cost $15.99 to replace the crappy aftermarket knob that came with the car. Needed to run a die on the shifter to extend the threads so the knob writing is in the proper orientation.
