June 24, 2024 As the title says, today I installed the Cloyes C-3220 timing kit including chain, cam sprocket, crank sprocket from Rock Auto, and also installed a Melling High pressure oil pump 10295 from Summit Racing. Not much else to say🤷‍♂️.
Piston Rings
May 17, 2024 Got the pistons (ENGINETECHÂ P5036) back from the shop mounted to the rod, so now was the time to install the piston rings (HASTINGS MANUFACTURINGÂ 2M4978), and rod bearings (MAHLE / CLEVITEÂ CB663P8). Removal of Timing set and camshaft
Feb 23, 3024 Continued to tear the engine down, today it’s time for removal of the camshaft, so I removed the timing set and the camshaft thrust split and then pulled out the camshaft. Camshaft looked OK, but the bearings looked a bit more. I could see a bit of copper coming through, so IContinue reading “Removal of Timing set and camshaft”
